It’s a beautiful morning here in SoCal as the temperature at 6:30a is in the 50s. A step above the 40s as it’s been since I arrived here 3 weeks ago. I’m finishing my coffee and getting ready to take my bike on the 3/4 mile ride through the Village of Carlsbad and down to the beach. It’s my favorite part of the day as I sit on my towel (not Towlie) about 3 feet from the foamy surf as the last of a wave crawls toward me, then rescinds back into the Mighty Pacific. As the sun rises behind me I look up the coast to the North and down the coast to the South, most times I’m the only person there! It’s when I feel His presence the most! A mixture of Power and Beauty… just me, in the moment, in the breath. It’s something I wish everyone could experience. I’m sure u find what I’m talking about on ur own “beach”. If not, I’d suggest u find it. It’s a magnificent way to start the day!

I know lots of ppl are filled with excitement (myself included) as today is Opening Day in MLB! NOTHING like it… new season, new opportunities for players and bettors alike. All scorecards read zero. I’d like to finish strong with what’s going on here in the final 10 days or so of college hoops! Lots of action the next few days in particular… Let’s finish what we started and our Opening Day in bases can wait a bit… it’s a long season! Let’s finish this one…

This USED to scare me but a lot of times, 3 pts either way is expected. 140ish is still in our range here! Last week I had an over in Lakers game, like 227 and by game time it was 223.5… it flew over with a few mins remaining. When I capped this game I put it at 146 and almost made it a very rare 3 unit play. NEVER wager on something u are not comfortable with… wagering will NEVER GO AWAY AND, as in blackjack, a push is a win, so is a no bet!

I’d think 138.5 is better than 141.5, yes! I’ve been out all morning and just now home. Honestly I haven’t a clue why the line has dropped by 3 points since I placed the wager early this morning. In fact, when I accepted the wager it was 142 and it denied my bet stating the line had changed. I felt lucky for the free half point. Maybe a newly announced player out? I’ve no idea… a full 3 points is concerning especially still 1.5 hors til start time. Usually this type of line movement happens in the mins leading up til start. Let me know if u hear anything. My numbers this morning had about a 75-71 type score! But remember, games aren’t played on paper and anything could happen!

I can’t find the reason for the drop! Too late… tip off time! If I worried about every line move and spread adjustment I’d be a psyche ward. The # I got is the # I hope they hit… otherwise there will be opportunities to recoup! Thus is sports wagering!
